A Sophisticated Spin on Laundry Day

What was once an eyesore is now one of the most talked-about spaces in the house. We stripped the room down to its basics — removing all the dated cabinets and shelving — and rebuilt it with custom board and batten detailing for a clean, timeless look.

To create a bold, cohesive feel, we color-drenched the entire space in Sherwin Williams’ “Deep River,” a rich, moody hue that adds instant sophistication. An industrial-inspired chandelier completes the design, bringing texture and contrast to the room.

Personal touches make the space truly special — framed photos of the family’s dogs line the walls, including a playful series showing one of them “helping” by carrying the sheets from the bed straight to the washer!

The result? A laundry room so inviting that visitors have joked they’d happily curl up with a book and a glass of wine right there.
