Light, Bright & Anything but “Ugly”

This laundry room started out tiny, dark, and, in my client’s words, “just plain ugly.” Her wish list was simple: make it light, bright, blue, and clean — with smart shelving to hide all the “real life” storage and a dedicated shelf for laundry detergent (a must!).

We cleared out the clutter — including the old floor drying rack, basic shelving, and a farm table that had seen better days — and gave the space a fresh start. Updated shelving, a wall-mounted drying rack, a rolling drawer unit neatly tucked between the washer and dryer, and a chic chandelier transformed the mood completely.

To finish it off, we swapped the table and drying rack for a sleek credenza with plenty of hidden storage for all the essentials — toilet paper, paper towels, and everything else you don’t want on display. And, lastly, we hid the unsightly fuse box with a beautiful print to tie the room together and bring the entire design to life.

Now this once-“ugly” laundry room is proof that even the most practical spaces deserve a little personality and polish!
