Time-Capsule to Tranquility

This storage unit was a true time capsule—filled with antique furniture, family memorabilia, holiday décor, and treasures from my client’s two daughters’ childhood. Some of these items had been tucked away for nearly 18 years! Thankfully, she had already consolidated from two units down to one (imagine the storage fees!).

During our decluttering process, we took a thoughtful, family-centered approach—sending photos and videos of the girls’ keepsakes so they could decide what to hold onto and what could finally be released. Piece by piece, the space began to open up, making room for clarity and intention.

By the end, we discovered she had paid over $45,000 in storage fees through the years. Now, she’s in a smaller, more efficient unit (a 10' x 5' unit down from a 10' x 20' unit), saving $90 per month—that’s $1,080 a year in continued savings.
